Hubby's New Found Love

For the past few months, my hubby has been talking non-stop about cameras. It hit us hard when we could not take any shots in Koh Samui, while vacationing with my family in April. We missed taking shots of the beautiful island..so serene and tranquil. Finally, after days and weeks of researching online and talking to the experts, he got himself a D50 in May. The minute he got it, he made plans to visit several destinations non-stop.

Photography Sessions:
Day 1 (12th of May) - KLIA. Sent our close friends off to HK for honeymooning. Left the house at 6 am, had breakfast at McDonalds and toured around for couple of hours. Hubby was busy snapping away. Then we adjourned to Putrajaya. Took some nice shots of the mosque and building surrounding the area. As the sun was getting hoter by the minute, we decided to head home. Had enough for one day :-)

Day 2 (13th of May) - Crab Island better known as Pulau Ketam. The trip was arranged specially for photographers; 3 photograhers and 3 escorts. We had a scrumptious lunch in a small shop located near the old cinema, Seri Intan before heading off to our destination. I was surpised to find a jetty in Port Klang, complete with a air-conditioned ferry to Pulau Ketam. Caught me in complete awe. Well, the trip on the ferry was ok, nothing much to see. It took 45 minutes approximately to reach the island. The guys started snapping away the moment we got off the ferry. We walked along the pathway; there were restaurants and residential area alongside. In a nutshell, Pulau Ketam is small island surrounded by fishing village. The mode of transportation within the village itself is a bike powered with motor. The surroundings was overall dirty; the garbage surrounding the area was such an eyeshore. Pulau Ketam folks are in need of a drainage system. The community needs to look after the overall cleanliness of the island. The initial plan was to have dinner there, but i guess we lost our appetide along the way. We decided to have dinner in Port Klang instead. We took the ferry back to the port and since it was still early, we decided to make a stop at the Esplanade. After taking some shots of the sun setting, we left to Port Village, the seafood restaurant. Had a delicious meal there and call the day off.

Day 3 (14th of May 2006) - Ulu Yam Waterfall. Day 3 was definitely an adventurous trip. We met up at Ilyas's place at 8.15 am and adjourned to Jane's place. Had breakfast at the Mamak on the way. Started our journey to Ulu Yam, not the common spot. It took us approximately 45 minutes to reach our destination. As soon we got there, Ilyas found a spot, and we quickly got settled down. Spread out the mat and started munching on tidbits. We had Jane's potate salad, Ilyas's world renowed Tuna Sandwich with Cili Padi, sardine sandwiches, soft drinks and not to be missed junk food. While we were all busy settling down, hubby on the other hand was busy snapping away. Taking shots of the surroundings. Jane decided to stay back at the camp, the rest of us started our hike through the water. What a journey!!! I fell a couple of times and bruised myself...but it was worth it. We hiked about 2 hours, we didnt realise the time passing by as all of us were having loads of fun. The water was cool and the weather was great. We then decided to get back to Jane. Right before reaching camp, Jane took some shots of us still in water. We then had lunch. Rested awhile, packed up the stuff, got changed and left for home. What a great trip...we loved the waterfall so much so that we planned for another trip.
